World Championships
Overall, the meet was quite successful for the United States team. I believe the team earned 25 medals overall, and several young performers emerged in their first world championship. Rain finally stopped
Well, the rain finally stopped last night, in time for the evening competition. It was a great night for distance running, but probably a bit too cool for sprinting and jumping. Right before the women’s 100 final, the rain came back with a vengeance, but it didn’t seem to deter Lauryn Williams of the USA.…

Rainy day in Helsinki
It’s been raining off and on today since my morning run, at about 8:00 AM. Fortunately, we aren’t watching the meet right now. Today’s schedule only includes an evening session.
