2006 Baldy Castillo Invitational
The Arizona State University outdoor track season opened with the Baldy Castillo Invitational on a chilly Saturday evening, March 18, at Sun Angel Stadium. Arizona State hosted competitors from Fordham, Kentucky, Louisville, Manhattan, Northern Arizona, Northern Illinois, Texas A&M, Western State College and others. World Championships
Overall, the meet was quite successful for the United States team. I believe the team earned 25 medals overall, and several young performers emerged in their first world championship. Rain finally stopped
Well, the rain finally stopped last night, in time for the evening competition. It was a great night for distance running, but probably a bit too cool for sprinting and jumping.
