Well, the rain finally stopped last night, in time for the evening competition. It was a great night for distance running, but probably a bit too cool for sprinting and jumping. Right before the women’s 100 final, the rain came back with a vengeance, but it didn’t seem to deter Lauryn Williams of the USA. She’s one gutsy sprinter.<\/p>\n

Today is mild with high clouds, so far. The decathlon starts in about an hour. Signing off for now…<\/p>\n
